Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Communication, Biomed and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 12.96% or 667.00 points to trade at 5,815.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:SPNS) added 3.30% or 380.00 points to end at 11,900.00 and Energix (TASE:ENRG) was up 3.09% or 45.00 points to 1,501.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Electra Ltd (TASE:ELTR), which fell 2.37% or 3,430.00 points to trade at 141,130.00 at the close. Shikun & Binui (TASE:SKBN) declined 2.21% or 18.90 points to end at 836.10 and Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TASE:DSCT) was down 1.83% or 35.00 points to 1,877.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 229 to 228 and 81 ended unchanged.
Shares in Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) rose to 5-year highs; rising 12.96% or 667.00 to 5,815.00. Shares in Energix (TASE:ENRG) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.09% or 45.00 to 1,501.00.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.23% or 0.18 to $78.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.06% or 0.05 to hit $83.21 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.80 to trade at $2,325.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.58% to 3.71, while EUR/ILS rose 0.52% to 3.99.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 105.39.
