Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as in the sectors led shares .

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Sun Yad Tech (TW:1316), which rose 10.00% or 2.30 points to trade at 25.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Cheng Loong (TW:1904) added 9.93% or 1.45 points to end at 16.05 and Pao Lung (TW:1906) was up 9.90% or 2.85 points to 31.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tatung Co Ltd (TW:2371), which fell 8.49% or 1.35 points to trade at 14.55 at the close. Quintain Steel (TW:2017) declined 7.37% or 0.80 points to end at 10.05 and Pqi (TW:6145) was down 5.24% or 0.75 points to 13.55.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 406 to 344 and 127 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sun Yad Tech (TW:1316) rose to 3-years highs; up 10.00% or 2.30 to 25.30. Shares in Cheng Loong (TW:1904) rose to all time highs; up 9.93% or 1.45 to 16.05. Shares in Pao Lung (TW:1906) rose to all time highs; up 9.90% or 2.85 to 31.65.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.21% or 0.11 to $52.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.20% or 0.11 to hit $55.19 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.25 to trade at $1232.65 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.67% to 31.006, while TWD/CNY rose 0.22% to 0.2235.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 102.06.
