Alf, Antonio, my dream living is Carvoeiro, Algarve PT, been there twice, i'm holding book Portugeuse for beginers, but most folks talk nice british english there, i traveled a lot, but these poeple suits me, they are saying - we are not rushing for growth, but overall quality of life (balanced)...they do slow snail living i need :)

Thanks Peter and Antonio, appreciate the comments. Pete if you’re considering moving to Portugal look at the Silver Coast, not the Gold Coast . The beaches are beautiful, the food great and wine amazing. I lived near Caldas da Rainha in the countryside.
Spain also beautiful but inland extremely hot as is Portugal. Green Spain is amazing. Property prices in Portugal are cheaper on the Silver coast, learn the language and you’ll love it.

Antonio, many Spanish people speak in their native tongue. If you’re from Barcelona , you know Catalan and Spanish ( Castilian ) . Portuguese understand Spanish very well, the Latin languages verbs etc are similar ( hablar I falar ) . You could learn it in a few months for sure. The major difference is the guteral sounds of Portuguese were Spanish “ tiene claramente “ . The lifestyle is more antiquated , Lisbon is brilliant. I’d recommend it for anyone
